Set sail from the fascinating city of Dubrovnik to explore the stunning Dalmatian coast of Croatia. Taking in a wonderful mix of Croatian islands and mainland harbours, you can't help but be won over by Croatia's charm on this idyllic flotilla.
Start and finish your flotilla sailing holiday at the world famous city of Dubrovnik. The marina is situated at the end of the Rijeka (“river”) Dubrovačka inlet, very well protected and a great place from which to start your flotilla holiday in Croatia. If you arrive early, why not take a trip into the UNESCO World Heritage old town, which dates back to the 7th century.
There are three unique one-week flotilla routes to choose from, each taking in some of the best spots on this stretch of coastline. Highlights include the raw and natural beauty of Mljet island with its salt water lakes, the 'get away from it all' feeling of Kobas Bay and the aptly named 'little Dubrovnik' town of Korcula.

Embark at ACI Marina Dubrovnik. The marina has a restaurant, showers/WC and an excellent supermarket. If you arrive early in the day, take the opportunity to explore the fascinating Old Town.
Leaving the base in Dubrovnik, your first stop is Slano. Slano Town lies within a pretty, sheltered bay with several beaches and offers a peaceful and scenic first night. There are many interesting attractions in the village such as the Heritage House Dubrovacko Primorje, a museum dedicated to the heritage of the local area, and the lovingly restored Rector's Palace.
A down-to-earth, back to basics escape from day-to-day life! The Bay of Kobaš, with its sandy shoreline has become a firm favourite with the sailing community and for a long time was only reachable by boat. The small village of Kobaš highlights the traditional simplicity of Croatian island life and sits within a pretty, secluded cove surrounded by heavily forested hills. Here you can enjoy a delicious konoba-style meal in one of the bay's family-run restaurants. As well as the small port and restaurants, Kobaš is also home to the ruins of the Betondić family summer residence with a small chapel dating back to the 18th century.
A beautiful little bay on the northern shore of Mljet Island, which is a fantastic sheltered spot for sailors. Facing the Croatian Mainland, this relaxed seaside village offers a couple of restaurants and cafes as well as some great swimming spots to enjoy the clear waters. Take a walk to the top of the hills behind the village for some spectacular views over the channel.
By now you’ll be confident enough to explore the Dalmatian Coast on your own. Stay close and explore the salt water lakes of Mljet or if you are keen to get a lot of sailing in then why not venture further afield to the island of Korcula? The lead crew of will be on hand with recommendations and the latest weather updates to ensure you make the most of your time.
Another beautiful Dalmatian island to discover during your week of sailing in Croatia. The town of Suđurađ is nestled in a small natural inlet on the east coast of the island, providing perfect sheltered mooring for an overnight stop. Šipan is an Eden-like island where olives, figs, grapes, almonds and citrus fruits spring up from the productive soil. Be sure to try some of the island’s excellent local produce before you leave.
From Suđurađ, the journey is a short one back to the base in Dubrovnik. A shorter journey means you have plenty of time to further explore the Dalmatian Coast before you head back to the marina. Stop off for lunch at one of the beautiful Elaphiti Islands, or take the time to visit Dubrovnik and lose yourself in the irresistible old town. Whatever you decide to do, ensure you make the most of the last day of your Dubrovnik flotilla adventure.

From Dubrovnik’s picturesque harbour, the flotilla sets off for the 10nm sail up the coast to explore some of the best crystal clear waters the Adriatic has to offer. Explore the white sand beaches and citrus groves on Lopud Island before cruising further north to the lush island of Šipan, the largest of the Elaphiti Islands. After a great day's sail, discover the storied past of the island’s 16th century watchtower built to protect the town from marauding pirates. Nestled in a small natural inlet, Suđurađ’s well protected harbor is the perfect sheltered mooring for an overnight stop.
Today's scenic route takes you past the beautiful islets of Otok Oilpa and Otok Jakljan before arriving in the serene bay of Polače on Mljet Island. Mljet is an island of raw and natural beauty and the calm, sheltered waters of Polače make for an idyllic stop - the perfect place for a refreshing swim and snorkel. End your day by enjoying a leisurely meal at a local konoba, relishing the tranquil atmosphere and the camaraderie of fellow sailors.
Today's destination is the medieval town of Korcula, nicknamed 'Little Dubrovnik' for the striking similarities between the two Croatian hotspots. Explore the walled town's narrow, winding streets and historic architecture before taking a walk along the scenic waterfront and soaking up the town's vibrant atmosphere whilst enjoying a delicious meal.
Embrace a day of exploration at your own pace, whether it’s discovering hidden coves, relaxing on secluded beaches, or exploring charming coastal villages. The lead crew will be on hand to make suggestions and keep you updated with weather conditions so that you can make the most of your free-sailing day.
Back to the beautiful island of Mljet and the sheltered bay of Okuklje. Enjoy a walk to the top of the hill for fantastic views over the channel and cool off with a swim and snokel afterwards. A relaxing evening is sure to follow and the freshly caught seafood served in the restaurants here is not to be missed!
The journey back to the base will begin with a flotilla regatta, a bit of friendly competition to test your racing skills! After arriving back into Dubrovnik you will have time to freshen up before ending the week on a high note with the gin and tonic party and prize giving.
Mooring fees are not included. These are approximately €3-4/foot/night. One tank of fuel is included, any extra fuel must be paid for.
Transfers are not included on this flotilla but can be added at an additional cost. Return airport transfers cost from £40/person.
The best time for a sailing holiday in Croatia is from April to October. July and August are the busiest months of the year and also the warmest with temperatures averaging 26-32 degrees. At this time of year, the main Croatian hotspots are a hive of activity with tourists visiting via land and sea. Steady afternoon breezes make for great sailing.
For those who appreciate milder temperatures April, May, September and October see cooler mornings and evenings and a chance of rain but still have very comfortable daytime temperatures. The shoulder seasons can be the ideal time for exploring in more moderate temperatures and if visiting at the end of the season you will still have very pleasant sea temperatures.

The coastal destinations in Croatia have a Mediterranean climate with hot, dry summers and relatively mild and sometimes wet winters. Average temperatures during the summer months are 26-32 degrees with very little rain, other than the odd thunderstorm. Steady afternoon breezes make for great sailing. In the shoulder seasons of April, May, September and October you will find moderate temperatures averaging 17-25 degrees, occasional rainfall and good sailing winds.
Croatian is the official language spoken in Croatia. In addition, English is widely spoken in the main tourist destinations.

Since 2023 the official currency in Croatia has been the Euro (EUR). Prior to this, the official currency was the Croatian Kuna (HRK). Cash machines (ATMs) are available in most of the main tourist destinations in Croatia but may not be available in some smaller destinations. Credit and debit cards are widely accepted. Whilst on a sailing holiday in Croatia, it is a good idea to have a small amount of cash (Euros) with you to cover expenses when cash machines may not be available.
Whilst on your yacht charter in Croatia, you will find many modern marinas with excellent facilities. These marinas will typically cost €3-4/foot/night. When sailing the Croatian islands you will find great anchorages and restaurant moorings which will enable you to save on mooring fees.
Croatia has ideal conditions for a sailing holiday with reliable afternoon winds. During the summer months there are steady afternoon breezes from the north-west averaging Force 2–5 dying down at night. Summer temperatures average 26-30ºC.

For bareboat charters and flotilla holidays in Croatia you will need RYA Day Skipper or ICC qualification as well as VHF licence in order to skipper the yacht yourself.

For charters in the Kornati - Croatia Airlines, easyJet and Jet2 all have direct flights to Split on Saturdays. Ryanair have flights from Stansted to Zadar on Saturdays. Easyjet fly from Gatwick to Zadar from June to August.
For charters from Pula - Ryanair have flights from Stansted to Pula and Trieste on Saturdays. Tui have flights from Gatwick to Pula on Saturdays.
For charters from Dubrovnik - British Airways and EasyJet have daily flights from Gatwick to Dubrovnik. Jet2 have flights from Newcastle on Saturdays.
For charters in Montenegro - British Airways and easyJet have daily flights from Gatwick to Dubrovnik. Jet2 have flights from Manchester on Saturdays.

The type and size of the yacht you book will dictate the price. A 1 week charter on a 2 - 3 cabin monohull starts around £1200 in low season whereas 1 week on a luxury catamaran with a skipper in high season could be upwards of £10,000. These are the 2 extremes of the scale for a 1 week yacht charter in Croatia and we offer plenty of choices in between.
1 week is a popular choice amongst our sailors and makes the perfect getaway however, a longer charter will give you more time to explore all Croatia has to offer. We have a range of 1 and 2 week flotillas, as well as custom bareboat bookings which can be tailored to your timescale.
Lower-priced yacht charters are available in the off-season of April, May, September and October with prices starting to rise in June before peaking in July and August.
